Course Booking System for Sail Time

After many months of discussions, planning, implementation and testing, we are delighted to announce the completion of the Sail Time Europe Training project. e-availability.com was commissioned to create an online course booking system to very specific requirements. The project has been a challenge for all involved, but the final course booking system is a testament to the hard work put in by both teams from e-availability and Sail Time! This project has demonstrated e-availability's skill, abilty and competence at understanding clients needs and developing solutions which are right for both the business and their end customers.

We developed the web pages for the training site, mimicking the look and feel of the original Sail Time company website. The site was developed using the most recent Microsoft technology and utilising the latest .NET framework, enabling cool calendar features. The course booking system was seamlessly integrated into the web pages and the pages are all content managed giving the users full control over updating home, type and course pages easily and quickly. Courses are added to a shopping basket allowing customers to conveniently add multiple courses to their 'basket'. Secure online payments are catered for through integration with Sagepay, with the customer and administrator receiving confirmation emails within seconds of the payment being made online.

Other functionality includes a new dynamic calendar display, the ability to search by location and show late availability on the home page. Furthermore, past students also have the ability to upload images from training and submit comments online. This is a fantastic way to create a site where visitors can interact and share experiences. The scheduling of courses can be split over multiple day blocks via the admin system, enabling the staff to easily show when courses span over two or three months.

Some bespoke coding was also required to enable boats to be allocated to scheduled courses. Once maximum occupancy has been reached for any particular boat a trigger e-mail is sent to the administrator to alert them that a new boat should be allocated if more customers wish to book. This new boat can then be scheduled across multiple courses which are running at the same time.

Christmas is always a busy time for Santa, especially when fitting in time to allow children across the country to visit him and tell their Christmas wishes. We have helped our clients Woodcote Green Garden Centre to manage their Christmas Grotto by enabling parents to book convenient times online for their children to visit Santa.

e-availability.com's founder David Powell said: "By using our online ticketing module, it means that visits to see Santa can be booked quickly and easily directly from Woodcote Green Garden Centre's website. The whole family can then visit the Magical Christmas Wonderland knowing that they have a guaranteed time to see Santa and will not be left dissapointed by long queues and over demand at peak times. The staff at Woodcote Green have greatly benefited from using the system as they now know in advance how many visitors are coming to the Grotto and at what time. The system has also enabled different price structures to be implemented very easily. For example; Woodcote Green are now operating a three tier pricing structure which reflects demand at peak times."

Within the first month of the system going live there have been over 400 online bookings to see Santa. We are thrilled that we are helping so many children to visit Santa this year and are delighted that the booking system is enabling Santa and the Woodcote Green staff to stay stress free and full of Christmas spirit over the festive period.


Ticketing System for Liverpool ONE Wheel

e-availability.com's online ticketing system is helping the smooth running of a must see Liverpool attraction this winter period. The Liverpool ONE wheel is an 80 metre high big wheel which gives users an unparalleled view of Liverpool's City skyline. Visitors can book tickets for the Wheel direct from the website using e-availability.com's online booking system. Payment can be made in advance online - taking away the stress of paying on site and queuing for tickets. The Liverpool One Wheel will be operational from Mid November until the 31st of January 2010.

Agency system for The Dairy at Daviot

A great new site has just gone live for the Dairy at Daviot. Using our Agency system our clients not only have full control over their online availability and booking but also of the built in Content Management System which enables many areas of the website to be simply updated. Visit the new site to view their full list of luxury four star accommodation. Each of their six properties can be booked online, allowing Alison and her team to accept payment and manage their properties efficiently from a central database, which is content managed and updated easily and quickly.

Ticketing system for Funderworld

When one of our clients approached us with a request to enable their booking process to be used internationally we jumped at the chance to tweak our software to cater for the European Market. Funderworld is a mobile theme park and has begun operations in Geneva. Funderworld wanted their customers in Geneva to be able to book and make payments just as simply online as their customers can in the UK. e-availability has recently finished amending the software and the system has gone live.

A great new site goes live for The Good Life Cottage Co. based in the Lake District. Using our Agency system the site incorporates a number of excellent features to enable customers to view and book their holiday quickly and easily. Working with the owners and their web designers we were able to offer functionality which is not normally available to average CMS systems.
